1987 Detroit Tigers Kirk Gibson #23 Game Used White Jersey

In 1990, someone in the Detroit Tigers organization boxed up more than one-hundred game worn jerseys and stashed them in a dark storage room in old Tiger Stadium.The jerseys were sent to Florida for re-use in the minor leagues & ST. Ten years later, as the team was vacating the stadium, the boxes were rediscovered and sold to a dealer, and yet for some reason they were left untouched for another twenty years.We recently acquired this sealed vintage stash, and were amazed by what we found inside. We commissioned MLB jersey expert Bill Henderson to research each jersey’s history and to professionally restore each one to its original glory.Each has been examined on the light table to determine its original owner. All have original team tagging, and the front team lettering and trim is all original. Using team patterns, Bill cleaned them, and reproduced the player name and number on the back.The jersey comes with a Letter of Professional Opinion/ Document of Restoration from Bill Henderson of The Dream Shop.
